John Matheson
Mr. Matheson is the Director of Legal Policy Asia Pacific for Intel and is based in Singapore where he is employed by Intel Technology Asia Pte Ltd. He has extensive experience in environmental issues in the energy sector and has represented a variety of energy companies in permit procedures under the Environmental Code for various production facilities. He is retained by Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB (the Swedish company responsible for the proper management of nuclear waste) to act as head counsel in the permit procedure for a planned deep rock disposal facility for nuclear waste generated in Sweden.
He graduated from Lund University in 1984 (LL.M). He then worked in different courts during 1984-1989. After this he worked as a Corporate counsel at Ovako Steel AB from 1990 until 1991 when he joined the law firm Mannheimer Swartling as an Associate. He is a Partner in the firm since 1997.
