Mr Lee has represented major companies and financial institutions in restructuring and
rehabilitation transactions, including ‘rehabilitation and M&A of Dong Ah Construction,’
‘Daelim Group’s restructuring (sales of affiliates and acquisition of new companies), ‘Lotte
Shopping’s acquisitions of supermarkets,’ ‘LS Cable’s acquisition of Jinro Cable Industries,’
‘PricewaterhouseCoopers’ sale of Korean consulting business to IBM,’ ‘establishment of
YNCC by Hanwha and Daelim.’ Recently, he successfully defended LS Cable against CEPCO,
a Suadi Arabian company in a construction claim arbitration under ICC rules.

Mr Lee joined Lee& Ko in 1995. Prior to joining the firm, he was a foreign associate at
Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. He was qualified to the Korean Bar in 1985 and also
admitted to the New York Bar in 1992.
Mr Lee graduated from Seoul National University, College of Law in 1983, and Seoul National
University, Graduate School of Law in 1989. Mr. Lee received his LL.M. degrees from the
University of Chicago Law School (1990) and the University of Pennsylvania Law School
(1991) and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa College of Law (1994).

Lee Yin Mui
Ms Lee Yin Mui is the Assistant Director (Research) of the ReCAAP Information Sharing Centre (ISC). She joined the ReCAAP ISC in October 2006 and headed the Research Department of the ReCAAP ISC, supported by secondees from the Indian Coast Guard, the Philippine Coast Guard and the Ministry of Public Security (Marine Police), the People’s Republic of China. The Research Department of the ReCAAP ISC is responsible for analysis of incidents of piracy and armed robbery against ships, and publication of value-added reports on trends and assessments of the situation in Asia.

Ms Lee graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1986 majored in Mathematics and Economics. Prior to joining the ReCAAP ISC, Ms Lee served in the Singapore’s Armed Forces for over 20 years holding several appointments in the Research Department.
As the Assistant Director (Research) of the ReCAAP ISC, Ms Lee has attended and delivered presentations to local and overseas conferences on the situation of piracy and armed robbery against ships in Asia. She represented the ReCAAP ISC at the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) meetings organized by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) in London, and was involved in discussions and reviews of MSC Circulars related to piracy and armed robbery against ships.
