He has broad experience in structured finance transactions, particularly involving real estate assets. His past experience also includes acting in domestic and international financing transactions involving loans and issues of securities, including IPOs.

He worked as a foreign associate at the law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP in New York, USA (1998-1999) and he was also responsible for the New York office of TozziniFreire for two years (1999-2001), assisting U.S. companies in developing their businesses in Brazil.

His experience is broad based and includes legal aspects of every type of corporate transaction from acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, franchisee, structuring and transaction documentation. He also advises on securities laws and foreign exchange laws. He works regularly with law firms as well as corporates from all over the world.

Some of the clients that he has advised are Cingular Wireless, Alcatel Lucent, Inditex SA, Technicolor Creative Services, Arcelor Mittal Group, Ascott Group, the Carlyle Group, Gresham LLP, Renold Plc, Ashmore, Alchemy Partners, Temasek, Standard Chartered Bank, Celerity Ventures Inc.

Conducted the very first international arbitration at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) for United Engineers Berhad against a Norwegian company.  The dispute involved the defective sign of an oil rig for use by Petronas and Esso.  The hearing lasted 105 days (SIAC Arbitration No.1/90).

In 2007, London based Legal Who’s Who named Jude Benny in a group of eleven of the world’s most respected maritime lawyers, citing his work in ship collisions, in particular, and citing him as a “ legend in this field”.

Mr Bhaskaran previously supervised Asian economic and investment strategy analysis for Societe Generale’s Asian investment banking division. As Executive Committee member in charge of Asian equity research, Mr Bhaskaran helped to establish the firm’s business presence in Southeast Asia and in South Asia as well as contributing to the development of the firm’s highly-rated equity research. Prior to that, Mr Bhaskaran supervised a team preparing strategic political and economic assessments of Asia for senior Singapore government officials.

Other positions: Member of the Competition Appeals Board, Singapore; Member of the Board of Advisors, School of Economics, Singapore Management University; and Adjunct Senior Research Fellow, Institute of Policy Studies Singapore. In addition, Mr Bhaskaran is also a Council Member, Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA); and Vice-President, Economics Society of Singapore. Mr Bhaskaran serves as a director of several companies in Singapore.

The disputes in which she has acted have brought her before institutional and ad hoc tribunals in a number of jurisdictions and involved a variety of governing laws.
Juliet is Director of the London Court of International Arbitration, Vice Chair of the Dispute Resolution Committee of the Inter Pacific Bar Association, Treasurer of the London branch of the European Court of International Arbitration and Vice President of the oil and gas section of the Arbitration Club. Juliet is a member of the Energy Charter Treaty Legal Action Task Force. She is a contributor to various legal journals and has co-authored a chapter on the New York Convention and UNCITRAL Arbitration for Arbitration International. She is a member of the LCIA, an accredited CEDR mediator and a registered arbitrator with OHADA. Juliet regularly accepts appointment as an arbitrator.

In 2007, Ms. Brunner moved to Singapore to successfully complete her LL.M. programme (Corporate & Financial Services) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) while working for a trust company. She then joined the Jeeves Group and is Director of Lexadmin Trust Services Pte. Ltd., Singapore.

Geneviève Brunner is a member of the Swiss Lawyers Association as well as a general committee member of the Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA). She also publishes regularly papers for Australian Law Journals.
