Accreditation

Continuing Professional Development (“CPD”) / (Mandatory) Continuing Legal Education (“CLE”)

For delegates from countries where CPD / CLE is mandatory, the IPBA will be pleased to provide a certificate of attendance which, subject to exact CPD / CLE requirements, may be used to obtain accreditation in your jurisdiction. Certificates will be available from IPBA staff at the registration desk.

Notes:

  • Australia (New South Wales): If the Conference is relevant to your immediate or long term needs in relation to your professional development and practice of the law, then you may claim one unit for each hour of attendance at the Conference, refreshment breaks not included.

  • Australia (Victoria): If the Conference is relevant to your immediate or long term needs in relation to your professional development and practice of the law, then you may claim one unit for each hour of attendance at the Conference, refreshment breaks not included.

  • England and Wales: The Conference has been granted temporary accreditation by the the Solicitors Regulation Authority of England and Wales under the reference “CPD / TEMP ˇ and up to 8 CPD hours may be obtained. Delegates should ask staff at the registration desk for information as to how to obtain the CPD hours.

  • France (Paris): IPBA is registered as a foreign accredited provider with the Paris Bar Association and practitioners from this jurisdiction may claim CLE credits for attendance at the Conference.

  • Hong Kong: The Conference has been accredited for CPD by the Law Society of Hong Kong and up to 10 CPD points may be obtained. Delegates should ask staff at the registration desk for information as to how to obtain the CPD points.

  • Japan (Tokyo): IPBA is registered as a foreign accredited provider with the Daini Tokyo Bar Association and practitioners from this jurisdiction may claim CLE credits for attendance at the Conference.

  • Japan (Osaka): The Conference has been accredited for CPD by the Osaka Bar Association and up to 11 credit hours may be obtained. Delegates should ask staff at the registration desk for information as to how to obtain the credit hours.

  • United States (California): As the Conference has been accredited for CPD by the Law Society of Hong Kong, the IPBA may issue an “Approved Jurisdiction” mandatory CLE credit for up to 10 CLE hours to California practitioners. Delegates should ask staff at the registration desk for information as to how to obtain the CLE hours.

  • United States (New York): As the Conference has been accredited for CPD by the Law Society of Hong Kong, the IPBA may issue up to 11.5 CLE credits to New York attorneys under the New York State's "Approved Jurisdiction" policy. Delegates should ask staff at the registration desk for information as to how to obtain the CLE credits.
